Sitka Spruce is the most well-rounded tone wood and is used on more guitar tops than any other wood. This is due to the tonal qualities and sonic projection of spruce. It has a nice even tone and does not accentuate any frequency above another in an overpowering way. Spruce also has a strong attack and does not get muddy at high volumes. This makes it a very versatile wood and makes those players with soft touches sound great and people playing with other instruments cut through the mix.
The auditorium body shape is probably the newest body shape for acoustic guitars. The auditorium takes elements that players love from various other shapes and combines them into a single body. The sound will be slightly different than a dreadnought and will scoop some of the mid range but it maintains the full dreadnought sound. It has a skinnier waist, much like a grand concert. This allows the guitar to rest lower on a player's thigh when sitting down and does not put as much strain on the shoulder. It's not hard to see why auditoriums have gained popularity so quickly.
Fishman's PRESYS+ preamp is designed to make your Teton guitar sound as great amplified as it does when you play it acoustically. The PRESYS+ has a three band EQ that allows you to fine-tune your tone and adapt to any situation you are in. The PRESYS+ also has Notch, Brilliance and Phase adjustments. This preamp is paired with a Fishman Sonicore pickup to reproduce your amazing natural Teton tone when plugging in.
An absolutely beautiful instrument. Set up nicely and in tune right out of the box. Exquisitely made and finished well. I couldn’t be happier….
This is the first 12 string I’ve ever owned and I must say it has completely captivated me. From the low price to the amazing sound, this is hands-down the best guitar I’ve ever played, let alone owned. I do everything with this guitar, from backwoods campfire jams to open mic at any number of places to just sitting in my house by myself or with my friends playing it, my Teton 12 string never disappoints. It sounds amazing even with old dirty strings that I really need to replace, lol, but I cannot give enough praise to this beautiful guitar that gets nothing but compliments every time it’s played. Awesome job, Teton, and thank you for this wonderful experience.
When I tell people I bought an electric Ukulele they chuckle to themselves as if it’s a silly idea. But this thing is screamin! They are no longer chuckling when they hear it played live. The sound is crisp and the intonation is great across the board.
For the price, this ukulele is a must have for anyone whether you just think a ukulele would be a fun little toy or you want a new sounding angle for a screaming lead ukulele in your jam band.
P.S. I don’t review anything, but I read reviews all the time. I was frustrated and surprised to see that this item had no reviews. I scoured the web for days searching for information and there is some useful stuff out there. BUT, I digress. The point is this: my first review ever and the first review of this instrument on the site.
IT’S GREAT, well worth the price. If you have any inclination on buying this, you should.
I stopped in to La Grande Stereo and saw mine on a stand. I picked it up and the full sound and sustain were awesome! I also have Martins and a Taylor, as well as others. This is the finest I have ever heard and played, at least to my ears. Job well done! La Grande Stereo did a great job with set up too.

I picked up this guitar at a little guitar shop in Seaside, OR. Got a great deal, but the thing that sold me was the way it played AND the sound of the instrument. I have a Taylor and I’m used to its sound, but playing the Teton – I just fell in love with its character. The sound was bit warmer, but had just enough bite to cut through a band mix. When I’m performing solo, I loop, so I had to find the sweet spot on how to use the Teton for my percussive sounds. But now that I’m used to it, I can use it just as well as the Taylor for looping. We also used the Teton in recording my new project. The tone in recording was really a nice contrast to the Taylor in the sense that we, again, got more of darker sound with the Teton. Love my STS150ENT and will definitely purchase another one in the future.
