NAMM Recap Part 1 – The Show
Our Teton NAMM crew just returned from California last week where we debuted 16 new models for 2016! If you’ve ever attended the winter NAMM show in Anaheim, you’ll understand my sentiments. The show is 4 days of crazy, loud, energetic, innovative, inspiring, magical, musical fun!! There is truly nothing like it and there’s something inspiring about meeting and visiting with people who love music as much as you do. I can’t recall a single moment in our booth when there weren’t at least 3 people holding a Teton guitar.
The best part of the show were all the exclamations about how great Teton instruments are. The air was filled with:
“Are you sure these prices are correct?”
“Wow, these feel great.”
“You guys are from Idaho?”
“I love Teton!”
“I’ve never heard your guitars before. I’m so glad I stopped to play one.”
“That arm rest really does make a difference, doesn’t it?”
“Where can I buy these?”
“I already own a Teton, I can’t wait to buy another!!”
“I remember your booth from last year and couldn’t wait to see what’s new!”
“These sell better than anything else in my shop.”
After visiting with people about Teton, hearing them play the guitars and ukes and sharing in the passion of independent music to the point of having almost no voice, I felt recharged and ready to make 2016 the best year for Teton yet!
If you were at the show and stopped to see us, thank you, thank you, thank you. We wouldn’t be here without all of you and the feedback, comments and playing let us know we’re continuing on the right path–bringing affordable, quality instruments to musicians everywhere!
Check back next week for my NAMM recap part 2 – Teton Artists.
