Every Teton Guitar comes standard with a solid top. The solid top has been a driving factor in the amazing sound quality for every Teton guitar. On a majority of the models, we use layered backs and sides. This helps keep costs down and we have been able to make our solid top models sound as good as some other companies all solid wood guitars. However, Teton Guitars does offer two series of all solid wood guitars, the 200 and 205 series. If you have been impressed with our solid top guitars, just wait until you check out our all solid guitar series!

The 200 series only comes in one flavor; it is the STA200NT with an auditorium body shape. It has a solid Sitka spruce top and solid African mahogany back and sides. Players love the projection that this guitar has. The spruce top can handle more aggressive picking styles and still retain a great tonal balance. The combination of spruce and mahogany is very pleasing because the highs and lows are well blended with just a minor scooping of the mids.

The 205 series has a solid western red cedar top with solid African mahogany back and sides. The 205 is available in dreadnought and grand concert body shapes. They are available with cut away and electronics and, as always, we use Fishman preamps and pickups on all Teton Guitars. All three body shapes have a 25.5-inch scale length and a 1 11/16th inch nut width. The 205 series has been a go-to guitar for our singer/songwriter fans. Cedar blends so well with the human voice. When you flavor cedar with solid mahogany back and sides, you get a multi-dimensional sound with tons of great overtones.

Our goal is to provide the best guitars at the best prices so that every player can have a fantastic guitar that they can count on for years to come. Our all solid wood guitars are built to be used at a professional level yet still be accessible to a person buying their first guitar. We want people creating as much music as possible.

Music is a healing art and the more that we, as a society, can become involved with artistic pursuits that are meaningful and uplifting, it will only help heal wounds that seem too deep and close divides that appear too distant. That is why we do what we do. We want you to be involved in that process. If a Teton Guitar is the vehicle that takes you to a better place, then that means we can rest at night because we have done our job.
